Parhelion is a postproduction-focused company based in the metro Boston area. The primary
systems used are Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro (although a favorite will always be Quantel). Clients range from
independent producers to corporate firms.
Parhelion began as my idea for an independent newspaper
at my Catholic high school in Riverside, RI. Back then, it was called
The Lollipop and a few of my friends and I contributed to its publication
on a regular basis. When I transferred to Portsmouth High School, The
Lollipop came with me but with the changed name of Parhelion. Publication
rapidly diminished, but with the increased popularity of the Internet in the late
'90s, Parhelion found its way onto a webpage.
When I got involved with filmmaking and television production while at Fairfield University
and started taking on my own projects, it only made sense to take the name "Parhelion" to these new
ventures. So in 2001, Parhelion Productions made its first appearances.
From television shows at the campus TV station to independent film
projects, Parhelion found itself in the production process from pre to post.
